early in the AM

Woke up before the crack of dawn with Ried and coffee in hand. The charts looked big and the wind looked to be off shore. We headed out to catch some morning waves, when we arrived to the beach with the sun just rising with the swell building we managed to get some good shots with the snowy peaks and blue bird sky.

tsunami....tsusmomi

As everone herd we were going to be hit with a huge tsunami last week, from the earthquake across seas. Around 3 oclock we went to check the surf and were told to stay out of the water. No tsunami this time. couple fins free ..

Schooner

Last week Arron Jackson and Myself walked down to schooner to catch some empty waves, at First look the waves were pumping with punching sets coming into the bay. Once Arron suited up and jumped in, he quickly figured out he was in for a paddle of his life. After getting held under for a while he managed to grab a couple rights before heading in. Schooner is a fickle place to surf, with wrong winds or swell direction the entire bay turns into complete close out ciaos. But with backdrops and new scenery its worth our while to walk down to get a shot or two.
