Road Trip

got off the island for a quick road trip in search of snow!

Went for a quick boat ride out of the harbor.

After driving up and down the peninsula in search for waves we paddled out on the right side of incinerator rock. I was trying to line up a shot in front of the rock to get some background, but the current was so heavy I had heeps of trouble staying in the same place. check some attempts!!

On route to check the surf, we came across some lama's running through the middle of the logging road. Living on Vancouver Island we are used to deer, bears, wolfs, maybe the odd cougar but I have never came across a pack of lama's in the middle of no where. North Chesty's had a couple punchy wedges in the morning, by the time we got to the other surf spots the tide had dropped and killed any possible surf.

Sunset Cox

Last night I went for a nice Sunday night swim just before golden hour. While enjoying the calm waves in Cox bay I crossed paths with CC, Shazza, Janek, and Kye. I have been shooting close to surfers lately and felt like trying a different approach. I set my lens around 70mm, at 5.6 and kept a pretty far distance from the action. This with some home made tilt shift created a artsy effect. Check the shots......hype.
