Big sea's

This morning the swells doubled from the day before, the guides managed to find some fish on the inside. While shooting the boats, I would be on top on the 5 meter swell looking down, then in seconds I would be pointing my camera straight up. With no rain it turned out to be a fun day at work.

Change over

Twice a week the helicopters come in and out, two or three times a day to pick and drop off guests. Seeing the helicopters never gets old, some times they give us a treat and do a really close low fly by. Helicopters also mean the booze has arrived.

Up North

For the last 2 weeks till the end of the fishing season I am in the Queen Charlotte's Shooting for Hippa Lodge Resort. (www.westcoastresorts.com). My daily duties include following guests with my camera capturing them in the boats, reeling in, and holding their days catch. I also have time to follow whales and any wild life in the area. I then Do a quick edit and display a slide-show at the bar and drink with the guests and discuss their days work.

Here we go again

7:30 Am after returning from yet another amazing adventure up whistler with my partner in Crime Noah, I wave good bye while stepping onto the bus via Vancouver south terminal air port. I start the adventure on route to the Queen C islands to shoot guests fishing in the heavy seas of the north west coast. After 28 days of fog in Tofino I see that everywhere else in BC is actually sunny and hot.
After the 1 hour flight to sandspit I will be boarding a heli up to the north island called hippa lodge where I will be driving my own boat while following others fish. get some!
