Arrived at Wick around 1:00 to catch the swell pushing close to high tide. The currents were really strong once again, which gave me great trouble finding the right spot to float and shoot. There was pretty calm crowds and a little more force to the waves, joined by a couple interested sealions everyone was getting their fair share of waves.
Rycam, Kye, and Cc met up at wick, after a late start of a Sunday morning. Along side many other locals surfing wick on a smaller swell everyone had smiles on their faces. Wicks currents made the paddle a little tough for everyone, but the clean clear swell gave everyone some fun dumpy waves.
Over the holidays I acquired some new gear including aqua tech water housing. First time shooting in the water, it was not to successful but practice always helps. I shot at north on a rainy Monday thinking the water would be empty, to find the opposite. Swimming between the lessons and the crowded line up, I got my fare share of close outs to the head while focusing on the rider . All in all it was productive day in the water. sick as!!!
Late November gave the peninsula some good swell. As of late the swell has shrank and periods have become long. Here is a couple shots of Pete at the box and, Noah and Reed killing it on some small clean lines.
